DRUMMING FOR HEALING
The “drumming zone” is where your mind goes, while you are playing your drum. It allows your consciousness to be in the present moment. When you allow your focus to be taken away from the day-to-day worries, and allow your presence to become one with the sound, it actually induces a trance-like state. In that state of ‘being-ness’, you are fully conscious of your surroundings, yet you have the sensation of being “sustained in a state of tranquility”. You are completely relaxed, your mind is disengaged and you feel totally at peace. It actually is a form of “sound" meditation where you become free to be totally comfortable with yourself. It will allow you to develop an intimate relationship with Self by connecting with the center of your being, which is the nature of who you are. It allows you to feel again, to connect with your emotions and release any emotional blocks that may have occurred from the past.
Come experience the “oneness of being” by experiencing the “drumming zone” for yourself.
Take this opportunity to play the drum in a comfortable and safe environment.
No skill or musical ability is required. An African hand drum, known as a "djembe", is provided for you to use at your lesson.
Contact the Drumming Zone and bring yourself back to your center, where all healing takes place, and where you are the facilitator of your healing.
